MOSCOW, Feb 7. (Xinhua) -- The Russian-Turkish commission to oversee ceasefire breaches in Syria recorded 14 cases of violation in the last 24 hours, Russia Defense Ministry said Wednesday.
Six breaches were recorded in the province of Damascus, five in Latakia, and one each respectively in Aleppo, Idlib and Homs, the ministry said in its daily bulletin published on its website.
Most cases of indiscriminate firing from mortars and small arms were registered in areas controlled by the Nusra Front terrorist group, it said.
Both Russia and Turkey are guarantors of a nationwide Syrian ceasefire regime which came into force on Dec. 30, 2016.
One ceasefire agreement has been signed with the settlement of Rasm as Saharij in the province of Aleppo in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of such settlements to 2,352, the bulletin said.
