LONDON, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has praised his side's fighting spirit as they prepare to cross the Manchester to face city rivals Manchester City on Sunday.
Mourinho's side go into the game 9 points behind City, but knowing that last season they fought back from 2-0 down to beat their neighbors 3-2 and also buoyed by late fightbacks last week to give them vital wins away to Bournemouth and Juventus.
Speaking to the press on Friday, the United coach highlighted the personality his players had shown to fight back from behind in both of those games.
"We are not a team that gives up. We are a team that always finds a way to fight back, said Mourinho, who also focused on his side's away draw against Chelsea on October 20th.
"We played two difficult matches away against two very good teams, Chelsea and Juventus, and we managed to get good results and even if the good results were not in our pocket, the performances were there. The positive attitude was there so we are going to try," he said.
However, he warned that Manchester City are "a very powerful team."
He was asked about recent allegation published in 'Football Leaks' that Sunday's rivals have breached UEFA Financial Fair-Play regulations, but preferred to avoid the issue.
"It is difficult for me to answer because I focus on my job: I focus on football," said Mourinho, who added that "football potential starts with investment."
He also praised the "quality of the work and the quality of the organization," at City, saying it was "untouchable."
"I just want to play the match. It's a difficult match against a very difficult team but I don't think they think it is an easy match for them," he concluded. Enditem
