Photo taken on July 24, 2019 shows a homestay at Shanxin Village of Qisha Township in Fangchenggang City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Shanxin Village used to be a poor fishing village where villagers live on fishing and shrimp farming. By the end of 2016, there were 33 poverty-stricken families and 156 impoverished residents. To help them shake off poverty, in 2017, local authorities cooperated with tourism companies to establish a "coastal and rural" homestay tourism business by renovating and decorating villagers' houses as homestay lodgings. The homestay tourism business started this February. Through renting the renovated houses and doing part-time jobs, local villagers can earn steady income. (Xinhua/Zhou Hua)
