SINGAPORE, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed down on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.36 percent, or 12.21 points, to close at 3,402.86.
A total of 1.89 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.60 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.21 billion U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 243 to 212.
The STI index closed up 0.89 percent, or 30.09 points, to close at 3,415.07 Tuesday.
